Story
In the heart of a pandemic, fate brewed something special at a local brewery in Seattle. With restrictions in place, the world outside felt a bit surreal. Joseph was eagerly waiting at the brewery, with spirits high and a scarf wrapped tightly around him. When Anakarina walked in, he couldn't help but notice her and hope this was his date. Amidst the cold night with a sudden snowfall and the quiet murmur of conversations, the night began to work its magic.
Their initial conversation started off slow and with all of the awkwardness a first date has to offer. As Joseph ventured inside for another round of liquid courage, a twist awaited him. Upon his return, a sight unfolded that could only be described as serendipity in its purest form. There, curled up in Anakarina's lap, was Frankenstein, their four legged cupid working in more of the night’s magic. This had to be a good sign.
From that moment on, laughter and smiles took over their conversation. Each quip, each shared story, wove them closer. The cold was forgotten, replaced by the warmth of beer, a dog and the start of a romance. Joseph and Anakarina found themselves lost in a world of their own making. And as the night grew older, they couldn’t help but be giddy with excitement as they hoped they would see each other again.
Tidbits
Who made the first move? How?
He made the first move when he asked to see each other on New Year's to ring in 2021 together.
What was your most memorable date?
We spent our 3rd or 4th date backpacking in the Olympic Mountains in January - it ended up snowing over night. It was so cold, but such a fun and memorable experience.
What's your favorite activity together?
We love our mountain bike dates with our puppies!
Where are you going for your honeymoon?
Somewhere we haven't been before....we're thinking Norway in Sept/October!
What's the best meal you have eaten together?
Making pizzas together when we just started dating. We found our favorite dough recipe and now it's a valentine's day tradition to make our homemade pizzas, stay in and cuddle.
What's the most memorable trip you have taken together?
So far, we love the few days we spent in the mountains of Puerto Rico, in an open-air cabin, falling asleep to the symphony of jungle critters singing throughout the night.
We’re on the same page about
What's important to us. And that's spending time with the people we care about. (You all!)
A life goal of ours
Continue traveling the world, having fun and new experiences!
The most spontaneous thing we’ve done
Come home with our kitty, Medusa! (AK said she was just going to look at the kittens...a load of BS haha)
The dorkiest thing about us is
We love to play gin rummy over and over again. We keep mental score to 100 and love to tease each other throughout the game.
We take pride in
In each other! We love supporting each other in all aspects of our lives, family, work, hobbies and we're so very proud of what we've each accomplished.

Your presence is the most important gift to us, but if you insist on a gift, we set up a honey fund. We have set plans to enjoy exploring Norway with lots of adventures to be had! We've also added a few items just in case you prefer to give a physical gift <3 Can't wait to celebrate with you!

When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by March 15th, so we can have an accurate headcount for food! :)
What will the weather be like?
Welcome to Boise summer, all of you out-of-towners! The weather here can be funny. During the day, the weather in should be beautiful, averaging 75-85 degrees, but it can get chilly at night. Please bring some warm layers for the evening, we don't want anyone freezing their booty off.
Are kids welcome?
Kids are welcome! We will try to have a kids area on the venue with games and a babysitter.
Where should I park?
There is plenty of free parking in the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church next to the venue. PLEASE ONLY PARK ON THE GRAVEL LOTS. Under no circumstances should anyone park on the paved lots. This will cause issues with the Church.
Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?
Yes.
What should I wear?
Please see our Schedule for the dress codes.
What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
Calling all ladies! Do not wear stiletto heels. I repeat, do not wear stiletto heels. There are a bunch of grassy/dirt areas that you might have to walk in so wear chunky heels or sandals. Can't have any of you ruining nice shoes or breaking any ankles.
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
Please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. But for the rest of the event, we would love for you to take photos and share them on our app Joy.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our wedding ceremony is outdoors, but we will have a tent available to escape the weather :)
Whom should I call with questions?
Please check out our FAQs and if you still have questions please call Anakarina at 253.820.2393 or Joseph at 208.440.0376
